Twelve Dates of Christmas and 4-month Stats.

On the First Date of Christmas my true love went with me to Wingers! I found a really cute idea on this blog about doing The 12 Dates of Christmas. I thought this was a really great idea, so Sam and I are going to give it a try. Granted, we are SWAMPED this Christmas season, but they aren't going to be large dates and we won't always have a sitter for them. Family dates are always fun too.

So like I said, on our first Date of Christmas Sam and I went to Wingers. Abby was going to join us, but she's been really sick with the croup so we dropped her off with my mom. (my mom wants any excuse to sit and cuddle Abby for a few hours) We haven't had too many nights with just us since Abby has been born, so it was nice to go an enjoy each other for an hour or so. After we were going to go get us a tree, but I had to get home and get ready for work. It was still nice to get away for a while. And as nice as it was being just Sam and I, it was also nice getting Abbsters back home with us.

Speaking of Abby, she had her 4 month check up Friday. She didn't get her shots. (her doctor didn't want her to be double miserable. Thanks Dr. Fox! She was sad enough already!) but here are her stats: She weighs 13 lbs which is in the 27th percentile. At her two month, she weighed 11.9lbs which was in the 68th percentile. So she has gone down, but he isn't concerned because she is still average. She is 25.25 in long, which is 77th percentile. (last time she was 23 in long which was 64th percentile) So Abby is tall and skinny. Although with the chub around her legs, I really can't see the 'skinny' part of her! I get to go back in next week when she is feeling better and get her shots. She thought she dodged a bullet. Wrong baby girl!

Besides her croup, Abby is as healthy as can be and developing wonderfully!

  1. look at my pretty princess!! i didnt think she was skinny, esp with her cute rolls. and i saw that idea too and liked it, wanted to do it, prob wont. so i will live vicariously through you guys!!

  2. I think she is just delicate. That's what you should call her. Sweet Baby Abby. I hope she gets better soon!

  3. I have to say that I never see any type of "chub" on Abby. When Emmy was her age, she had rolls to spare! Nothing chunky about Abby :). Hopefully she starts to feel better. I can't remember how long Emmy had croup. I think it was close to two weeks though before her wheezing went away.

I'm excited to hear more about your dates! What a fun idea!
