Happy Birthday Honey!!

This week was a fun one! Sam had his golden birthday, turning 24th on February 24th!! I wanted to make this birthday a special one, especially because it's my first time being a wife on his birthday. Unfortunately, his birthday fell on a Wednesday, so I had to spread the celebrations out through the week. I think i did a pretty great job!!

Wednesday for his birthday, I sent him a balloon bouquet to his work. That night we both had class till late, but I skipped out early and came home and made him a key lime pie. I put 24 candles on the pie and sang to him, then let him open one of his presents, which was a pair of nice brown church shoes.

Thursday he had class till 7:30, so I got all fancied up and made him a romantic candlelight steak dinner, and let him open another present, which is an IOU to a Real Salt Lake game. I still need to get the tickets. Dinner worked out so perfecly.

Friday was the big celebration. I had a surprise party for him! He had no clue, even though I was sure he did. I told him we were having a dinner with our friends Scott and Becca, and had Scott and Sam go pick up stuff for taco's. Mean while, all the party guests came. He was so surprised and happy!! It made me happy to see him so happy!

So once again, Happy Birthday to my most wonderful Husband! I love you so much, and I am so glad we get to grow old together!!

Swan Lake

Today was a good day. I slept in, made crepes for us, took a nice run outside, and went to see Swan Lake with my mom and my sisters. For Christmas, my mom got all the boys in the family tickets to two Jazz games, and got the girls tickets to Swan Lake. The ballet was absolutely wonderful! It was so beautiful! Ballet is not my dancing style. I am terrible at it in fact, but I love it so much. I wish I could look like that when I dance, so effortless. I took quite a few ballet classes at SUU, and it not easy, and yet, these dancers made it look like a piece of cake! I on the other hand, probably looked like a hippo flouncing across the floor with two left feet.

Seeing this ballet really made me miss dancing. I miss the feeling of doing a hard sequence, and struggling so much with it, and when I finally got it, it was the best feeling in the world. (especially in my ballet class) I miss the feeling of sweating and just being so tired after multiple dance classes. I miss going home and showing my roommates my dances weather it be me trying to do ballet, showing off what I did in modern, or putting on my taps and trying to be cool, and annoying my neighbors below us. I felt good about myself all the time when I was dancing, and I was in the best shape of my life. Now I sit behind a desk 8 hours of my day. If only I could find a night dance class, my life would be that much better!

Tonight after the ballet when I got home, I put the music on and tried to show my poor husband the kinds of things they were doing. It was fun, but I'm pretty sure I made him not want to see a ballet with me ever! Ha ha!
