Food, Soccer,and Fireworks.

I have recently started to like Soccer. I'm not into sports at all, so this is saying something. We went to our first Real game back in March or April I think...anyway it was the first time in a while that I had gone to a sporting event, and actually watched the game. So Friday night we got some tickets and went with our friends Mike and Amanda. It was a lot of fun, even though we tied 0-0, and the hot dogs were gross, it was still so much fun. Then on Saturday, we watched the USA vs. Ghana game, and once again, I was actually watching it, cheering for the team, and was actually upset when we didn't win, which again is saying something for me. I usually do anything BUT watch sports, especially on TV.

Saturday was an awesome day. We woke up early and went to the Temple with our ward (even though only 4 of us showed up) to do sealings. After, that is when we watched the game. Then we headed up to Bountiful for Sam's work party, which had great dutch oven food, and his boss serenaded us with his awesome guitar/singing skills. It was great. I know if Sam keeps practicing and pushing himself, he can get just as good too! After the party, we headed to Taylorsville for the yearly Taylorsville Dayzz. We walked around for a bit, visiting with some and my sister's family. They had an ok Beatles Tribute band playing, which I liked, because I'm always up for Beatles songs, even though there is nothing like the original Beatles. After walking about for a while, we found a great spot for my favorite summer event ever...FIREWORKS!!My favorite part of Summer is the 4th of July, and with those come fireworks. They are exciting, fun, romantic....just great!! And last nights were AWESOME!!

After the fireworks, we hung our with Sam's brother Brigham and his wife and their friends Scott and Britany for a bit so we didn't have to sit in traffic for an hour. It was just a lot of fun. I love weekends!!

  1. It was fun having you guys over after Taylorsville Dayzz! I don't know if I could get into watching soccer, but I know a lot of people are really getting into REAL. :)
