Lately...

So not too much new has happened to our little Tappana family. We lost our camera in Vegas when we went the beginning of May, so that is just the worst. For our anniversary, we got some disposable camera's. They were fun to use, and when we would ask other people to take our picture, they always temporarily forgot how to use one. It was funny. Until we get those pictures developed however, I will not have pictures to post. I'm anxious to figure out how our pictures come out. And hopefully we get a new camera soon. It is my Birthday in a few weeks. Perhaps I'll get one then...hint...cough.....hint.

It is now my favorite time of summer. June and July are my favorite months! I love BBQ's, Fireworks, Bee's games, early morning breakfasts in the mountains. Taylorsville Dayzz is soon approaching, my birthday, the 4th of July, my vacation with my family, the 24th of July, camping trips....I love them all!!

I wish I could play all summer long and not have to worry about responsibility, but alas, life goes on. I am just working right now, so it could be worse, but my job can be a bit stressful. But I am enjoying just going to work and not having school. I get to clean my place well, do laundry, cook; things I for the most part enjoy....a little. I love the feeling of being domestic, but sometimes it's not so fun. I am also concentrating on becoming more fit. I went for a great jog this morning, and feel like I can keep running at a better pace and for longer, so that was great. I'm also taking a dance class through the month of June that is so much fun!

Sam is doing great at his job. He is FINALLY done with training, and is enjoying being on the Spanish speaking team, which comes with a raise! Score! He is also taking 2 classes this summer at LDSBC, which is great for him to do, but he is there kinda late and I'd like to do more fun summer in the city activities, which there are a lot going on. But he likes being busy with school.

Other than that, life is great. We absolutely LOVE our ward, we love living downtown, and we love being in our second year of marriage. Life is pretty much fantastic!!

That pretty much sums up what has been going on in our lives. Hopefully pictures will be coming sooner than later!!

Inter-NOT

It has been a long time without Internet. Too long actually, but I have some good news! We got internet! We should have it a week from today, and I can go back to living the way I was born to...blogging and FBSing. What a life. What a life.

Stalk you later.

Out of the Internet world

The Tappana's have since moved, and therefore do not have internet yet, but just a quick update while I am at work.

1.We got a new car about a month ago that we just love. A 2002 Honda Accord
2. We moved, and we love our new place, and more than that, we love our new ward so far. We have only been there twice now, and there are still a lot of old people, but there are also a lot of very sweet young people, and we already feel so welcomed.
3. Work is death. Enough said. (busy summer season)
4. Sam and I celebrated our first anniversary on Sunday May 16. It was a fabulous weekend, and I can't believe it's already been a whole year. I fall in love with Sam more and more every day. As soon as we get internet back, i'll blog about that with pictures.

That is all for now. Hopefully we will be in the Internet world again soon!

Our Little Obsession

So. This TV show was on in about 1996. I remember watching it with my family. I would even rush home from my friends house to watch this show. Our friends have the seasons of it and let us borrow it. We are obsessed. It's about this guy named Jarod who is a prodigy, and he was taken from his family when he was just a little boy, and taken to a place called the center. There he learned how to become anything he wants to be, aka, a pretender. Well, one day the Pretender ran away. Bum bum bum!!

I just love that both Sam and I are really into this old TV show. Jarod always eats pez, and so Sam and I bought some pez. We can't wait to watch it with each other every night. It really is a time during our busy schedules to sit and relax with each other. It's one of the best 45 min of the day!!

Slowly Dying

So i'm at work right now. It's a very slow day. Not too many customers or extra work to do so naturally, my day is going slow too. And it's 10 min to my lunch and I am famished, and trying not to think of the last donut that sits in the vault, right by my desk. I have to keep reminding myself that although kind of good in the moment, (depending on the brand) donuts always make me feel gross and chubby afterwords.

Besides the donut, I'm thinking about life in general. Where I was a year ago, where I am now, and where I'll be in a year. Time flyes. Last year, I was finishing up my last semester at SUU, and missing my fiance terribly. Now I'm married, working full time, and going to the U for something I really dislike (thus changing my mind about where i want my life to go for the hundreth time). I was laying in bed the other morning, waking up from a dream I had where I was down at SUU dancing in Kay Andersons class. I was so happy to be dancing, when I woke up bummed for a second because I don't have dance anymore. But then Sam rolled over to me and cuddled me for a bit and that is all I needed. I did't have him at SUU. He makes me so happy! Sure, my future is a bit blurry. I don't know what I'm going to do after this semester, but I'm happy and in love!! We are moving to a new place where I can have my own furniture, we have gotten a bed, an entertainment center, and just today a table (100 bucks, brand new. Steal!). We both have secure jobs, I'll soon be in a new ward, and we have friends and a close family! Life is great! Someday something will catch my career eye, (someting may even be brewing in my thoughts, i just have to put it into action) but for now I'm content.

Happy Birthday Honey!!

This week was a fun one! Sam had his golden birthday, turning 24th on February 24th!! I wanted to make this birthday a special one, especially because it's my first time being a wife on his birthday. Unfortunately, his birthday fell on a Wednesday, so I had to spread the celebrations out through the week. I think i did a pretty great job!!

Wednesday for his birthday, I sent him a balloon bouquet to his work. That night we both had class till late, but I skipped out early and came home and made him a key lime pie. I put 24 candles on the pie and sang to him, then let him open one of his presents, which was a pair of nice brown church shoes.

Thursday he had class till 7:30, so I got all fancied up and made him a romantic candlelight steak dinner, and let him open another present, which is an IOU to a Real Salt Lake game. I still need to get the tickets. Dinner worked out so perfecly.

Friday was the big celebration. I had a surprise party for him! He had no clue, even though I was sure he did. I told him we were having a dinner with our friends Scott and Becca, and had Scott and Sam go pick up stuff for taco's. Mean while, all the party guests came. He was so surprised and happy!! It made me happy to see him so happy!

So once again, Happy Birthday to my most wonderful Husband! I love you so much, and I am so glad we get to grow old together!!

Swan Lake

Today was a good day. I slept in, made crepes for us, took a nice run outside, and went to see Swan Lake with my mom and my sisters. For Christmas, my mom got all the boys in the family tickets to two Jazz games, and got the girls tickets to Swan Lake. The ballet was absolutely wonderful! It was so beautiful! Ballet is not my dancing style. I am terrible at it in fact, but I love it so much. I wish I could look like that when I dance, so effortless. I took quite a few ballet classes at SUU, and it not easy, and yet, these dancers made it look like a piece of cake! I on the other hand, probably looked like a hippo flouncing across the floor with two left feet.

Seeing this ballet really made me miss dancing. I miss the feeling of doing a hard sequence, and struggling so much with it, and when I finally got it, it was the best feeling in the world. (especially in my ballet class) I miss the feeling of sweating and just being so tired after multiple dance classes. I miss going home and showing my roommates my dances weather it be me trying to do ballet, showing off what I did in modern, or putting on my taps and trying to be cool, and annoying my neighbors below us. I felt good about myself all the time when I was dancing, and I was in the best shape of my life. Now I sit behind a desk 8 hours of my day. If only I could find a night dance class, my life would be that much better!

Tonight after the ballet when I got home, I put the music on and tried to show my poor husband the kinds of things they were doing. It was fun, but I'm pretty sure I made him not want to see a ballet with me ever! Ha ha!
