This weekend was excellent. I feel like we haven't had an excellent weekend for a VERY long time. At least, not a blog-worthy one.

Anytime we tell Abby to say cheese, she puts up her hands. |
This weekend started out Friday. I had plans to exercise and clean, but that went out the window and instead Abby and I spent the day shopping (for her) and sharing some Panda Express for lunch. When Sam got home from work, we went to our friend Dallins house and had a pizza party with a bunch of people. Super fun! I ate oh so healthy that day.
Saturday morning started out with a whole half hour Sam and I got to spend together actually talking in bed before Abby woke up. After breakfast we did yard-work, (we have SO MUCH to do. If anyone loves to weed, come on over!) I went to a baptism, we took naps, and then we packed up a picnic and headed over to Sugarhouse Park to eat, feed the ducks, and play. I've been wanting to do this for weeks now and we finally got to do it!

All ready to help! |
|
Taking a break...because playing in the dirt is hard work. |
|
Notice how very far Abby thew her bread? |
|
Eating was not on the top of her priority list. |
|
Cheese! |
As you can see above, the darn Seagulls outnumbered the ducks, so we mostly fed the seagulls. I think next time we will find someplace else to go.
When it was time to go, Abby was sure unhappy. Oh what mean parents we are. How dare we take her away from the toys?

After this cute picture, Abby got us to let her go down the slide a couple of times. |
|
But this one got her nothing. |
That night, Abby actually went to bed on time. That is unusual for a Saturday. So, we enjoyed the extra alone time to watch "What to Expect When Expecting." Seriously, so funny. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. In fact, at almost every funny part, I played the part of the annoying wife and kept looking at Sam to see if he was laughing too. But I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed it.
Sunday great too with church, naps, and the in-laws for a Cinco De Mayo dinner. And Abby looked adorable in her new dress and pigtails. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of her in it. Shame on me.
The best part of the weekend was knowing it isn't over! (for me anyway.) I have this whole week off work and Sam and I are taking off Wednesday for St. George. I have a feeling it will be another blog-worthy week(end).
